Assignment context
In a demanding industrial and technical environment in the Romandy region, MDI Technologies is seeking a Senior Low-Current Technician to provide assistance, maintenance and monitoring of copper and fibre-optic infrastructure across a large multi-building site. Interventions also cover video, radio and IP telephony infrastructure. Activity volume varies depending on ongoing projects (50 to 220 days/year). Provisional start as soon as possible in 2026.
Your responsibilities
- Assistance to the low-current infrastructure manager (copper and fibre-optic)
- Administration and maintenance of cabling management and inventory tools (ServiceNow, Azure DevOps)
- Investigation and resolution of incidents on copper and fibre installations
- Technical assistance to internal teams and external partners
- Administrative tracking and inventory of low-current installations
- Coordination with installers and compliance validation against applicable standards
- Monitoring of infrastructure construction sites and projects
Essential skills
- Swiss CFC as electrical installer (monteur électricien) or equivalent
- Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency in specialist software: cable management, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Visio
- Knowledge of IT networks: Cisco, video, radio, IP telephony
- Light vehicle driving licence
Desirable skills
- Certification in low-current systems
- 2+ years of experience in copper and fibre-optic cabling installation and management
- Demonstrated experience in IT, telematics or multimedia
Education & experience
Swiss CFC as electrical installer (monteur électricien) or equivalent
3+ years (2+ years in copper/fibre cabling recommended)
