Assignment context

With a major operator of critical infrastructures in the Romandy region, MDI Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems and Integration Engineer to administer, secure and evolve server and infrastructure platforms. The environment includes Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware VCF and high-availability architectures. The selected candidate will also provide technical support to project managers during the integration of new systems. Provisional start from 1 January 2027, with a progressive ramp-up aligned to ongoing projects; no assignments are planned for 2026.

Your responsibilities

Administration and maintenance of application server and infrastructure platforms
Contribution to the improvement and development of existing IT infrastructure
Technical support to project managers during integration of new systems
Technical evaluation of tenders and preparation of installation and operations documentation
Automated application deployments (SCCM) and PowerShell scripting
Virtualisation management in complex VMware VCF environments

Essential skills

Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019–2025 environments
Active Directory, Azure AD, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, GPO
VMware VCF virtualisation (HA, DRS, RDM, dvSwitch, PCI-passthrough, Nvidia GPU)
Automated deployments via SCCM
PowerShell scripting — solid knowledge
Strong understanding of information security principles
Confirmed ability to lead technical projects

Desirable skills

Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
Netscaler (Citrix)
Backup solutions: VERITAS NetBackup 11, Alta SaaS Cloud, DataDomain
HPE servers (OneView, Blade Chassis Synergy, ProLiant DL)
Linux/Unix environments including Red Hat
Experience in institutional or public-sector infrastructure environments

Education & experience
