Assignment context
As part of a Finance and ERP transformation project with a major organisation in the Romandy region, MDI Technologies is seeking a Profitability Modelling Manager for a project assignment estimated at 6–8 months. The objective is the design and validation of a contribution-margin model ahead of the organisation's ERP system replacement. The selected candidate will lead stakeholder requirements gathering, model benchmarking and the production of design deliverables. Provisional start as soon as possible in 2026.
Your responsibilities
- Stakeholder requirements gathering (management, operational teams) and benchmarking of contribution-margin models
- Definition of the model, analytical structures and granularity (profit/cost centres, aggregates)
- Definition of calculation elements (fixed/variable costs, allocation keys)
- Feasibility study for implementation in leading ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Validation of the model with key stakeholders and production of the benchmark report
- Delivery of: model design document, dashboard mock-ups, KPIs, glossary, roadmap for next steps
Essential skills
- Mastery of analytical accounting and management control principles
- Mastery of standard contribution-margin calculation models (advantages, drawbacks, risks, performance conditions)
- Proficiency in at least one leading ERP (Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics) in modules relevant to contribution-margin calculation and tracking
- Proven experience defining and implementing contribution-margin models in environments of comparable complexity
- Proven experience in ERP change management within a complex environment
- Master's degree in Finance, Control and Business Analytics or equivalent
Desirable skills
- Complementary qualification in performance design and monitoring or equivalent
